Charming story set in Tokyo. I enjoy reading this book. The main character is a very relatable person throughout the story and this kept me engaged. As a former student of foreign languages I enjoyed the story's cross-cultural adventure. I can relate to picking up and moving to a foreign country and having to fend for oneself in that country's /5(28).

Romantic novels are generally not reading of first choice for me. I read Tokyo Story during a lazy weekend - it made a perfect read for that occasion. 3,5 stars The storyline is pretty archetypal quest of discovering oneself and one's place in life and love through a difficult journey.
